after school club, Wednesdays in December 2011

An after school club with a focus on outdoor play in large garden and old fashioned house.  Scroll down for descriptions of sessions this month.


Wed 7th Dec:
Outside there was football.  Finlay finished off the 'Dragon's Den' and was really proud of what had been made.  Some climbed trees.  Barney made a huge bonfire, burning up lots of cut elder, it had started with a cooking fire to toast marshmallows.  Meanwhile in the 'art studio' Joe, George, Finlay started talking like real artists as they approached their work in the studio today.  They chose cards, mounts to work from.  "I'm going to do a Christmasy picture and it looks very wintery", says one.  Joe discerned how to use the water soluble colours to make his hills as he wanted.  Toby discussed having a new sister and how she was due to be born near his birthday.  Joanna was making angels.  Happy Christmas to all!
