A very small group of explorers make their way out in the wet up to top camp. No photos.
After getting equipped with water proofs clothing and boots we set off in the land rover towards top camp. The wind was blowing from the North East bringing with it sleet, rain and snow. Through the field of ant hills and into a jungle. Max and Robin led us most of the way through. We stopped before getting there to see if we could find signs of an old camp. The boys enjoyed poking a stick into a rotten piece of wood. Arriving at camp we lit a fire and had a biscuit snack. The boys re-channeled the stream, played on the swing and dug a very muddy hole with Rosie's help. Lunch of sausages, followed by marshmallows. With the boys help, Edward attempted to pull down a rotten goat willow. They didn't pull it down but did manage to shake off a few really dead branches. Lots of laughter and fun on the way back. Splashing in puddles and curious about everything. Back to H.Q. - change clothes, warm by the fire and hot chocolate. Indoor games to finish the day.
